Beauty Retouching
This style of photo editing entails polishing up editorial photos, or headshots, to remove blemishes and enhance existing beauty. I essentially act as a virtual makeup artist, or even better, your favorite clothing steamer.
The style and extent of retouching is up to the client, or creative director. I have a range of creating natural makeup, to completely changing specific features (like hair color for example).
When working however, I always make sure to stay within what appears as realistic. When evident blurring and drastic "enhancements" are made, it can take away from the viewers experience and have them focusing on the wrong things. Who wants that?

Product Retouching
Similarly to beauty, objects need some touching up as well.
Bringing focus to products, providing color variation, and light correcting are what take place here. I can remove backgrounds and replace them to match aesthetics, or to simply have a product cut-out.
Photo Manipulation
In this style of editing, images undergo more complex visual changes. Whether it be masking & composting, or editing the subject themselves, these pieces have intentions of becoming something else (rather than simply enhancing).
There is nothing more magical than when manipulating photos – imagination has free range. It's an opportunity to create anything from nothing, or to build off of an existing image!
